Preparation
- Start by selecting a baking dish or shallow container suitable for forming your suncatcher’s shape.
- Place the chosen flowers or leaves in an attractive pattern inside the container. Press them gently to secure them in place.
- Slowly pour water over the flowers until they are fully submerged.
- Place the container in the freezer for several hours or overnight until it’s completely frozen solid.
- Once frozen, take the container out and leave it for a few minutes to thaw slightly before attempting to remove the ice.
- Carefully invert the container and gently pop the ice out. If it doesn’t come out easily, run warm water over the bottom of the container.
- Loop a piece of string or ribbon through the top of the suncatcher before displaying it.
