Ingredients

Materials Needed

  • 1 bunch Fresh flowers of your choice Choose small and flat varieties
  • 1 unit Flower press or heavy books For drying the flowers
  • 1 bottle Clear adhesive glue Suitable for crafts
  • 1 sheet Cardstock or heart-shaped base For the base of the heart shape
  • 1 unit Tweezers Helpful for placing delicate petals

Instructions

Preparation

  • Select your flowers: Choose flowers that are meaningful to you. Remember to pick small blooms or petals.
  • Press the flowers: Arrange the flowers between pages of a flower press or inside heavy books. Leave them for about two weeks to ensure they are fully dried and pressed flat.
  • Prepare the heart base: Cut out a heart shape from your cardstock or use a pre-made heart base.

Assembly

  • Arrange the flowers: Use tweezers to position the dried flowers within the heart shape until you achieve a balanced layout.
  • Glue the flowers: Carefully lift each flower, apply glue to the base, and place them back down. Hold in place to ensure adherence.
  • Allow to dry: Let your keepsake dry flat and undisturbed to maintain the shape.
  • Display your keepsake: Once dry, frame your heart or hang it up to enjoy.
